About Me

I'm a 25-year-old independent game developer, musician, and technology enthusiast. I was raised in the inspirational landscape of Alexandria, New Hampshire, a tiny town in the heart of the mountains; my interest in video games was stirred by the equally inspirational halls of Funspot, the largest arcade in the world, and a brief car ride away from my childhood home.

With a few friends from around the internet, I became one of the co-founders of a game development team, The Layabouts. I'm the lead programmer and music producer for The Legend Of Doodle, a platformer that will be our first commercial product. It'll be releasing on PC, Mac, PS Vita, and PS4.

Many of my other projects are also available on The Layabouts, such as a short platformer game called Wow, Islands and Stuff!, and Block Dude X, a 10th anniversary-themed remake of/tribute to a beloved TI-83+ calculator game. In addition, I've provided assistant programming/design on many Layabouts projects programmed by Nate Wiesel, including ViViD, Cylor vs. The Evil Mutant Cats!, and Luminant.

I also compose music, too. You can head to my SoundCloud to hear a selection of my work, including tracks from The Legend of Doodle and other miscellaneous composition work. I was the music director and lead composer for the soundtrack to the free fangame Sonic Time Twisted; the soundtrack, Dueling Ages, is free to download.

As for my personal tastes? My favorite TV shows include Breaking Bad, Steven Universe, Fargo, and Game of Thrones. My favorite films include The Truman Show, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, The World According To Garp, and Fargo. (Again. I really like Fargo.) My favorite bands include The Beatles, Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, Gorillaz, and They Might Be Giants. And if you're looking for my tastes in video games, I encourage you to check out my “Twenty Games I Think You Should Play Before You Die” article.

I currenty live in Lafayette, Louisiana, with my two cats, Rusty and Spitz.
